Kandal orders five casinos to stop online betting by 30 September

Kandal provincial governor Kuoch Chamroeun instructed five casinos in Cambodia's Leuk Daek district and Sampov Poun city to end all online-betting activity by 30 September 2026. Authorities said inspections and direct enforcement would begin on 1 October.

The order still permits customers to gamble in person at the casinos, separating the online crackdown from the venues' land-based operations. The official notice does not identify the five casino companies.
